Although, traveling requires lot of planning, preparation and funds still its a must for everyone to have a break. Luckily, I happened to visit Dubai last year in November. It was a family trip where we visited many places not just in Dubai but also Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. This was my first international trip so I was very excited about it. Also it happened to be my first experience of traveling by air. It was a 10 day long holiday. We stayed at 4 star hotel in Dubai. On the very day we reached we enjoyed the Limousine ride to the city. It was an amazing experience to be in the big Limousine and watching the city. In the evening we went to Dhow-Cruise. Its a cruise in the creek with dinner, music and Tanura dance show. But what really has changed is the amount of popularity and development the sport has undergone over the last decade. Football is now out from under the shadow of an overwhelming presence of cricket in India. This is because of new interest at the grassroots level, higher investments, and an increasing fan base. Though football has traditionally been in India—with early clubs such as Mohun Bagan and East Bengal taking shape in the late 19th and early 20th centuries—the real game-changing moment happened in 2014 with the Indian Super League. The ISL is a professional league set up to compete with the best in world football, really raising the game's profile. Having franchises from across the country, it's welcomed international stars and renowned coaches that have added to the increasing appeal of the sport. Even infrastruc...

What was initiated during the British colonial era has matured and flourished into a passion cutting across social, economic, and regional strata. It was the British soldiers and colonists who first introduced an interest in cricket to this country in the 18th century. Though played mainly in the more privileged circles, the game soon spread to the masses. The Bombay Cricket Club formed in 1848 is of great historical importance, and soon after, cricket spread all over the country. By the turn of the 20th century, cricket was gaining a lot of attention from Indians. The participation of the Indian team in international cricket began with their debut in Test matches in the year 1932. Though tough in the early years, the team began making its presence felt by winning its first Test series against England in 1971. This vic...
